We are so excited to post these senior pictures of our daughter Anais. The love we feel for her every day has been a blessing. She has grown up to be such a talented, beautiful, smart and caring young woman. The world is at your fingertips Anais! Go out and grab it, its yours for the taking! Of course it is with mixed emotions that we are getting ready for her to go off to college and it seems it is hitting the guys in the family the hardest. Aidan and I are not ready for this. Aidan said today after the Baccalaureate Service, “I only had 10 good years with her!….” I too feel like the time has gone by too quickly. I seems like it was only yesterday that I held her for the first time. Throughout her middle and high school years, I have dropped her off at school every morning. These mornings in the car were spent discussing music and laughing at the morning radio talk shows. It is these years that have gone by the fastest and the changes in her that makes it so painfully clear. She went from being a middle school student with braces to a young lady with a drivers license, a car, a busy social life and a boyfriend, while the whole time pushing the uniform codes to the extreme limits and getting away with it… well for the most part…
It is her sense of individuality and creativity that makes her the incredible person she is, going all the way back to preschool, when she insisted on donning the Princess Leia bun hairdo to school. Her quest for individuality has not diminished over the years. She even bedazzled her senior jacket and the administrators at school were always waiting in anticipation of what high heels she would wear every day. But this who Anais is… She is our Butterfly Girl who has brought such color, joy and happiness to our life, beyond our wildest expectations.
